Decided to visit a beautiful church just across the street from the Roosevelt. The church, established in 1851, is called Immaculate Conception Jesuit Church.
The Jesuits founded the College of Immaculate Conception in 1847 and shortly thereafter founded the church. The architecture is Moorish in style, attributable the designer, Father John Cambasio’s time living in Spain.
While it doesn’t have the traditional transept design of a cathedral, it has all the beauty and grandeur one would expect of such a historic church.
