It’s slowly dawning on us that vacation is nearing it’s end. We slept in a bit later than normal and ventured to Mesa for breakfast. It’s a nice breakfast and lunch joint run by American expats who’ve been in San Pedro for just over a year. They’ve developed a nice following and created a hospitable and welcoming environment for their guests. With good that’s appealing to both the eye and the palette, I think their long-term success may be a foregone conclusion. A creature of habit, Marcia opted for the American Breakfast. I chose the coconut French toast; neither of us were disappointed! Even in low season it’s nice to know there are so many great choices for breakfast in San Pedro.
After a hearty and filling breakfast, we headed back to Royal Caribbean for more time poolside. We decide to head to Mahogany for lunch and to get checked-in for the final three nights of our all-too-short vacation. Lunch started with the resort’s signature drink, a hibiscus margarita paired with magi magi tacos.
After Getting our gear moved in we headed for the pool for some additional down time.
We managed to get photos of an amazing sunset. We finished of the evening with dinner at the onsite restaurant, the Veranda. To start we shared a delightful grilled Avi tuna. I had grilled pork chops with a balsamic reduction, Mac & cheese and grilled corn. We finished with a guava sorbet that ranks as one of the top desserts of the trip.
