My First Run to the Lincoln Memorial

I made my first run to Lincoln Memorial on Saturday January 23rd. Because of the security around the perimeter of the Capitol and the Senate and House office building, the run came in at 8 miles. While I don’t generally take my phone on runs, I didn’t want to forego the opportunity to get pictures of the monuments and the national mall. It was a cold and windy morning. You’ll notice a thin crust of ice on the surface of the reflecting pool.
